Label order explained
Unlike UK Beatles vinyl, which has lacquer, mother and stamper codes imprinted in the inner dead-wax area of the vinyl, Australian vinyl was limited pretty much to the matrix/lacquer number. The lack of mother and stamper codes makes it extremely difficult to place labels, within any given style, in accurate chronological order of production. Whilst every effort is made to establish 'probable order', it is often the case that a label is assigned the next available sequential number for its style.

Where possible, labels are ordered based on other obvious features, such as changes in track copyright holder or changes in lacquer numbers.
