Overview
By the time of this single's release, Leeds was firmly in control of the Northern Songs catalogue.
Evidence indicates that this single was initially distributed in the clear plastic sleeve illustrated here. However, copies have also surfaced in the new Parlophone paper sleeve introduced with the following single, and these may likewise represent original issue combinations rather than subsequent sleeve substitutions. The single remained in the catalogue for some time and was subject to repressing, spanning a period in which EMI (Australia) was changing both its Parlophone label and sleeve styles. Consequently, both sleeve types may legitimately be encountered with original copies, with the later paper sleeve most likely associated with subsequent pressings and later distribution.
Deleted by 1968, the single was recut in June 1976 ('She Loves You' in fake stereo and 'I'll Get You' in mono) by Richard Mott and reissued in July, where it remained available until the late 1980s.
